Are There Dinosaurs In The Bible?

For those of you who have always felt that the creationists' constant reference to "dinosaurs" in the Bible was, at best, a bit of an interpretational stretch, Abnormal Interests has a fantastic post on the real etymology behind the Hebrew words Ken Ham and others think refer to Mesozoic beasts. You need to read it for yourself, but here's part of the punchline:

I must say at the top of this post that one needs to have a very strong prior belief that the Hebrew Bible might mention dinosaurs to see them anywhere. And that includes Leviathan, Behemoth and any other of the words or phrases that has been suggested. There is absolutely no reason, based on internal evidence to associate dinosaurs with any word or entity mentioned the Bible. Nothing in the larger corpus of Near Eastern literature would lead one to such a conclusion either. [emphasis added]

Read Duane's post...and then the next time you hear a creationist say the Bible refers to dinosaurs, just shake your head and laugh at the wishful thinking....

From the book The Genesis Factor The Amazing Mysteries of the Bible Codes by Yacov Rambsel (Lion's Head Publishing 2000) pp. 41-42:

Genesis 1:21. Starting with the first letter in the tenth word, counting in reverse every 144th letter spells the dinosaurs; ha'behimmoti. The adjacent letters also at 144-ELS spell man; Adahm.

A recent statistical analysis was made on the probabilities of these insights occurring by chance. The amazingly profound mathematical odds are .00005 to a million, or less than ten billion to one. This is another strong example that these insights were not placed in the Scriptures by chance.

I also found a third insight that adds future proof of the inerrant Word of God. I continued my analysis at 144-ELS and found the phrase, from Job, me'aiyob. This gave me an indication that there was additional information in the book of Job. In order to understand the significance of this code, I searched the section of Job where the same word is found in the surface reading.

Job 40:15-18. (15)Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. (16) Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. (17) He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. (18) His bones are as strong pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron.

Why dinosaurs are not mentioned in the bible? is it maybe that part was removed from it because it wasn't convenient for the human race to know it?

Dinosaurs clearly existed, they do not today along with many other un-named animals in the bible. The men who wrote the bible did not know about dinosaurs, and they thought the Earth was only a few thousand years old. They didn't mention them because they didn't know.
